Introduction
I’m a web developer who recently moved from a career in information technology and instructional design. I’m treating my development journey like a video game where each project is a level to be cleared. Think Final Fantasy, Dying Light, or Star Ocean. This approach has worked pretty well so far. I keep leveling up my design and development skills to keep delivering excellence in web projects.
I started out my development journey building websites with Bootstrap and WordPress, making web apps with PHP and MySQL, and also with React and Node JS. I’m a huge fan of making projects that are accessible, automated, and user-friendly. Currently, I’m also learning to be a good Drupal developer. I’m so blessed and thankful to have great colleagues to support me in my Drupal development journey.
Previously I worked in a hospital and university where I was the IT administrator for servers, networks, A/V systems and desktop support. I was also an instructional designer who made accessible and user-friendly courses and knowledge base articles in health education and technology. While I thoroughly enjoyed those roles, I found out that web development and web administration is a lot more fun and fulfilling.
